GM Korea

GM Korea Company (GM Korea), which is based in Incheon, Korea, was established in 2002 and has about 10,000 employees. In 2019, GM Korea sold 76,471 units in Korea and exported about 846,265 complete vehicles and vehicle kits around the world. GM Korea’s product lineup includes a range of Chevrolet products and the Damas and Labo mini-commercial vehicles. CEO

Kaher Kazem was appointed president and CEO of GM Korea Co. and chairman of the GM Korea Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2017.

Kazem began his career with GM in 1995 in Australia and held several key leadership positions in GM Holden Manufacturing Operations.

Facilities

GM Korea builds complete vehicles, complete knockdown (CKD) kits of parts and components, engines and transmissions at its three plants in Bupyeong, Changwon and Boryeong. With the application of GMS, GM’s global manufacturing system, the company supplies world-class products. With market-leading technology, GM Korea is also playing a key role in GM’s global product development.
