Charlie Hyndman was appointed director, Warehousing & Distribution for all U.S. operations, July 2001. Hyndman has operations responsibility for all 25 facilities in the United States.

Hyndman joined General Motors in 1977 at the St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, plant as an hourly employee. In 1983, he moved to the salaried ranks, where he held the positions of supervisor and general supervisor. He was promoted to superintendent in 1989, which took him to the Scarborough Van Plant in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. In 1991, he transferred to the CAMI Plant, in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada, as area manager general assembly. Two years later he joined the Janesville, Wis., truck assembly plant as area manager and subsequently was promoted to assistant plant manager in 1995. In July 1999, Hyndman was promoted to director, Processing Centers, for GMSPO. He remained in that position until assuming his current responsibilities.

A native of Ontario, Canada, Hyndman received a bachelor's degree in 1986 from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.
