Facility Details

General Motors Parma Metal Center processes over 1,000 tons of steel per day and services/supports approximately 40 customers including the majority of General Motors North America produced vehicles. Parma has over 1,400 total dies and is capable of producing up to 100-million parts per year. The manufacturing processes include small, medium, and large transfer press lines, high speed progressive presses, and a world class Cut To Length shear, as well as GMNA’s largest stand-alone, multi-cell, resistance welding metal assembly operations. The Parma Metal Center is located near Interstate 480 between West 130th Street and Tiedeman Road, just east of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

  • First GM North America manufacturing facility to achieve Built in Quality Level III status which exemplifies excellence in first time quality production & performance.
  • ŸAmong 81 GM manufacturing sites worldwide to achieve landfill-free status.
  • ŸTwo large transfer presses and several major metal assembly cells were relocated to and installed at Parma as part of GM's stamping consolidation program. Additionally, several on-site transfer presses have been upgraded.
