Investments

  • $7 million (March 2012) to build two office buildings to serve both engine units
  • $84 million (May 2011) to expand production of 1.4L engines
  • $138.3 million (November 2010) to expand production of 1.4L engines
  • $250 million (February 2009) to build 1.4L engines

Products & Production

Flint Engine produced 241,400 3.6 Liter (High Feature) V6 VVT engines in 2012 and 231,000 1.4-liter engines in 2012. The engines are used in the following vehicles:

  • Buick:  Enclave (HFV6)
  • GMC:  Acadia (HFV6)
  • Cadillac:   CTS (HFV6)

  • 2008 AND 2009 - 3.6 liter V6 VVT with SIDI named one of WARDS TEN BEST ENGINES in the world
  • First GM Powertrain plant to go “Landfill Free.”   Zero plant waste sent to landfills since March, 2005
