SHANGHAI – General Motors will introduce the award-winning Cadillac ATS compact luxury sports sedan in China in the fourth quarter of 2013. The ATS will be imported by Shanghai GM and sold at Cadillac dealers nationwide.
Developed on an all-new, lightweight rear-wheel-drive architecture, the ATS challenges the world’s best premium cars with its balance of performance and refinement, wrapped in a progressive expression of Cadillac’s Art & Science design philosophy. It will be targeted at young Chinese car buyers.
The ATS features the Cadillac User Experience (CUE), which merges intuitive design with auto industry-first controls and commands for information and entertainment data. Other standard features include Brembo brakes, Bose Active Noise Cancellation and eight air bags.
Advanced technologies such as Magnetic Ride Control (MRC), a mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD), the Enhanced Safety System (ESS II) and high-performance tires will be available on selected variants.
The ATS has drawn the attention of media and consumers worldwide since its debut. It was named the 2013 North American Car of the Year, received the 2013 Red Dot Design Award, was the 2013 Esquire Car of the Year and won the 2013 Automotive Excellence Award of Popular Mechanics.
