BEIJING – General Motors China was recognized as the fourth-best Fortune 500 company in the area of corporate social responsibility (CSR) at the 2013 Corporate Social Responsibility Annual Conference in Beijing today. Sponsored by Southern Weekly (one of China’s most influential newspapers with an average 1.7 million circulation for each publication), the conference honors companies for their contributions to the local community.
“GM actively supports road safety, environmental awareness and public health nationwide,” said David Lake, Director of Public Policy at GM China. “Our goal is to help create a safer, greener and healthier community in line with our long-standing commitment to work in China, with China, for China."
