The 60th anniversary of the Chevrolet Corvette has brought back one of the most coveted designs in the rich history of this sports car — the Corvette 427 Convertible collector edition. The 427 Convertible is the highest performing Corvette Convertible ever produced and combines historic 427 V8 engine heritage with innovative technologies derived from the Corvette Le Mans racing program.
The hand-built 7.0L LS7 V8 engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and provides a staggering 512 hp and 637 Nm of maximum torque. Designed to sustain lateral acceleration forces in excess of 1g, the 427 Convertible delivers 0-100 km/h acceleration of 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 307 km/h. Standard Magnetic Selective Ride Control enables nearly instantaneous adjustment of damping at each corner.
Sporting a carbon fiber hood and fenders, and 19-inch front and 20-inch rear machined face cup wheels with Michelin PS2 tires, the 427 is also offered with Corvette ZR1 wheels. Like all other model year 2013 Corvettes, the 427 is available with the special 60th anniversary package which includes:
- arctic white exterior with racing stripes in pearl silver blue
- ZR1 rear spoiler
- 60th anniversary badging and embroidery
