Beate Stumpe has been Director, Brand and Marketing, of Chevrolet Europe since May 1, 2012. In this capacity, she is responsible for Marketing and Brand building on a pan-European basis. Prior to this appointment, Beate was Global Brand Director for Chevrolet.
Beate was born in Germany in 1970. She holds degrees in HR and Finance from the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda, Germany, and is a graduate of the executive program in e-commerce of Stanford University in California, U.S.A.
Beate started her career with General Motors in 1995, as Project Leader, Dealer Network Quality Management Certification at Opel in Germany. Still at Opel, she became Advertising and Promotions Manager in 1996 and Area Sales Manager for Southern Germany in 1998. In 2000, Beate moved to New York to take the position of Regional E-Commerce and Communication Manager for General Motors and became Regional Marketing Manager for GM's GMC truck division there in 2003. In 2004, she was named National Retail and Promotions Manager for Chevrolet, based at GM headquarters in Detroit. In May 2007, Beate moved to Moscow, where she held the position of Sales and Marketing Manager for Chevrolet Russia until April 2010, when she moved back to Detroit to become Global Brand Director for Chevrolet.
