DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) is reporting its second consecutive year of record global sales. In 2014, the company and its dealers delivered 9,924,880 vehicles around the world, surpassing by 2 percent the record set in 2013.
DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) expects its total earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) adjusted and EBIT-adjusted margin to increase in 2015, compared to 2014, after adjusting 2014 for the impact of recall costs. The company also anticipates improved automotive results in all regions.

DETROIT – General Motors Co. CEO Mary Barra said today that the company expects light vehicle sales in the United States to reach a range of 16.5 million to 17.0 million units in 2015. The last time industry sales reached 17 million units was in 2001. The industry delivered 16.5 million light vehicles last year.
DETROIT– Buick delivered nearly 1.2 million vehicles in China, the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2014, marking the second consecutive sales record for the most Buicks sold in a single year in the brand’s 111-year history.
DETROIT – Cadillac’s global expansion continued in 2014 with the brand recording a 5 percent sales increase over the prior year. Cadillac sold 263,697 vehicles worldwide in the 2014 calendar year.

CHENGDU – Shanghai GM today launched the Chevrolet Sail 3 in Chengdu. Five variants of the new family car with a choice of new 1.3L and 1.5L engines are available.
DETROIT – The high performance, technology-packed LT1 Small Block 6.2L V8 that powers the 2015 Corvette Stingray is a Ward’s 10 Best Engine for 2015. The engine also was recognized with this award in 2014.
GUIYANG – The 2014 GM China Consumer Fuel-Saving Challenge concluded on December 13 in Guiyang, Guizhou. Ten Chevrolet Trax 1.4T owners competed to see who could achieve the best fuel economy.
CHONGQING – SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) today celebrated the start of production at its new manufacturing base in Chongqing. It also signed an agreement for the second phase of production at the facility.
Shanghai – On November 30, the number of active Shanghai OnStar subscribers reached 800,000. This has strengthened its leadership in on-board telematics in China.
SHANGHAI – Shanghai GM recently surpassed 10 million cumulative sales since its establishment in 1997. It reached the milestone in record time for a domestic passenger car manufacturer.

YA’AN – A team of volunteers from General Motors China visited the former Ya’an, Sichuan, earthquake zone from December 1-3. They inspected the four clinics and four multimedia classrooms built with funds donated by GM China and its employees. They also provided traffic safety lessons to local primary school students.

For the first 11 months, sales in China rose 10.1 percent to 3,182,595 units – surpassing last year’s previous full-year sales record of 3,160,377 vehicles.
Shanghai – During China’s Singles Day holiday period from November 10-12, Shanghai OnStar’s sales soared 400 percent on an annual basis. The onboard telematics provider’s flagship store on the TMALL online shopping site registered 530 percent growth in daily sales volume on November 11, as the number of buyers of multiple-year packages grew six-fold and mobile application platform sales doubled. These fantastic sales results and the full-year robust sales trend underscore its brilliant achievements.
Guangzhou – Shanghai OnStar is showing its upcoming 4G LTE service, introducing several new telematics services and announcing the opening of a new call center at the 12th Guangzhou International Auto Show, which begins today in Guangzhou.
GUANGZHOU – Shanghai GM is displaying 32 vehicles from the Chevrolet, Buick and Cadillac brands at the 12th Guangzhou International Auto Show, which begins today and runs through November 29 in Guangzhou.
SHANGHAI – General Motors China has signed a memorandum of understanding with Shanghai Jiao Tong University to collaborate on a vehicle sharing program featuring the Chevrolet EN-V 2.0 starting next year.

China – General Motors has been recognized by the Wildlife Habitat Council for creating a wildlife habitat and enhancing biodiversity at its Guangde Proving Ground in Anhui province, China. GM is the first company in China to earn certification from the international nonprofit for its habitat program.
DETROIT – Fourteen General Motors plants around the world achieved the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR® Challenge for Industry, collectively cutting energy intensity by an average of 17 percent. The new achievers, which include foundry and assembly plants, bring GM to an industry-leading total of 70.
