DETROIT – Cadillac is being recognized as a 2014 Customer Champion by J.D. Power, the third time the brand has earned this distinction. It is one of 50 companies across multiple industries to be recognized.
SHANGHAI – General Motors and its joint ventures sold 257,770 vehicles in China during February, setting a new record for the month. Sales increased 19.9 percent from 215,070 vehicles sold in the same month last year.
SHANGHAI – February 19, 2014, Shanghai GM released photos of the Chevrolet Trax, its new small SUV that will be introduced in China in the second quarter of 2014. The Trax is currently sold in 11 markets worldwide, including the U.K., Germany, Canada, South Korea and Brazil. Chevrolet has been designing and manufacturing SUVs for about 80 years. The Trax builds on the heritage of past Chevrolet SUVs, with its muscular American design.
SHANGHAI – Mary Barra made her first visit to China as GM’s new CEO this week. She hosted a meeting with employees at the GM International Operations (GMIO) and GM China Headquarters in Shanghai. She also met with Shanghai Mayor Yang Xiong and representatives from GM China’s joint ventures. Barra was joined by new GM President Dan Ammann and new GM Executive Vice President, Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain, Mark Reuss. “I am very impressed by our teams at GMIO and GM China,” said Barra. “Our local employees are playing a fundamental role in GM’s ongoing turnaround worldwide. GM will further strengthen our investment in China. This is crucial for ensuring we remain a global industry leader.”
SHANGHAI – In January, General Motors and its joint ventures set an all-time monthly sales record in China with sales of 348,061 units, an increase of 12.0 percent from January 2013, the previous record month.

DETROIT – Jim DeLuca will become General Motors Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing on February 1, succeeding Tim Lee, who is retiring April 1 after a nearly 45-year career that included key positions in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and global operations.
SHANGHAI – Buick signed an endorsement deal today with professional golfer Shanshan Feng, who currently ranks sixth in the Women's World Golf Rankings, to serve as a brand ambassador for golf events that it sponsors in China.
DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) dealers delivered 9,714,652 vehicles around the world in the 2013, up 4 percent compared with 2012. Among GM’s top five global markets by volume, China and the United Kingdom posted the largest year-over-year sales increases on a percentage basis, with each up 11 percent. GM’s China sales set a new full-year record. Sales in the United States increased 7 percent.

DETROIT – Chevrolet today introduced the most track-capable Corvette in the brand’s history – the 2015 Corvette Z06. It stretches the performance envelope for Corvette with unprecedented levels of aerodynamic downforce, at least 625 horsepower from an all-new supercharged engine, and an all-new, high-performance eight-speed automatic transmission – all building on the advanced driver technologies introduced on the Corvette Stingray.
DETROIT– Chevrolet yesterday unveiled the Corvette C7.R race car, which was co-developed with the all-new 2015 Corvette Z06. They represent the closest link in modern times between Corvettes built for racing and the road, sharing unprecedented levels of engineering and components including chassis architecture, engine technologies and aerodynamic strategies.
DETROIT – The all-new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and Silverado 1500 are the 2014 North American Car and Truck of the Year. It is the first time Chevrolet has won both awards in the same year. The Silverado was last named Truck of the Year in 2007 and the Corvette was last named Car of the Year in 1998.
Shanghai – Shanghai OnStar’s base of active subscribers in China officially reached 700,000 on January 8th.
