SHANGHAI – Shanghai GM will launch the Buick Envision 20T, the newest member of its Envision mainstream SUV lineup, across China in April.

SHANGHAI – General Motors and its joint ventures sold 261,072 vehicles in China during February, setting a new record for the month. Sales increased 1.3 percent from the same month last year.
Shanghai – At today’s 2015 Barcelona Mobile World Congress in Spain, Shanghai OnStar announced that it will join forces with China Mobile, the world’s largest wireless telecom carrier, for the launch of 4G LTE telematics service across China. The new service will debut in a Cadillac model from Shanghai GM this year.
SANYA – The all-new Buick Excelle GT was launched today in Sanya, Hainan, by Shanghai GM. The all-new Excelle GT has a dynamic exterior design, spacious interior and advanced level of safety. It is equipped with Buick’s new-generation 1.4T DVVT and 1.5L DVVT in-line four-cylinder powertrains. Nine variants of the sedan are available for between RMB 109,900 and RMB 159,900.
SHANGHAI – General Motors and its joint ventures sold 339,781 vehicles in China during January, down 2.4 percent from the same month last year. Shanghai GM’s domestic sales decreased 6.9 percent year on year to 160,067 units, SAIC-GM-Wuling’s sales in China were up 3.5 percent to 178,903 units and FAW-GM’s domestic sales were down 75.6 percent to 811 units.

LIUZHOU – SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW), a joint venture between GM China, SAIC and Wuling Motors, announced today that it plans to establish a manufacturing facility in Indonesia to build Wuling brand vehicles for the country’s expanding vehicle market, which is a new step for SAIC and GM to jointly manufacture vehicles for selected Asian markets.
WUHAN – Shanghai GM today celebrated the start of manufacturing at its Wuhan Branch, as the first Buick Excelle passenger car rolled off the production line.
DETROIT – General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) is reporting its second consecutive year of record global sales. In 2014, the company and its dealers delivered 9,924,880 vehicles around the world, surpassing by 2 percent the record set in 2013.

DETROIT – General Motors Co. CEO Mary Barra said today that the company expects light vehicle sales in the United States to reach a range of 16.5 million to 17.0 million units in 2015. The last time industry sales reached 17 million units was in 2001. The industry delivered 16.5 million light vehicles last year.
DETROIT– Buick delivered nearly 1.2 million vehicles in China, the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2014, marking the second consecutive sales record for the most Buicks sold in a single year in the brand’s 111-year history.
