GM Announces 7,000 U.S. Jobs, Builds Off Strong Track Record


DETROIT – General Motors today announced that it will invest an additional $1 billion in U.S. manufacturing operations. These investments follow $2.9 billion announced in 2016 and more than $21 billion GM has invested in its U.S. operations since 2009.

In 2017, the company also expects to maintain or improve EBIT-adjusted and EBIT-adjusted margin on higher revenues, compared to 2016, and generate about $6.0 billion of automotive-adjusted free cash flow.

Cadillac Annual Sales Reach Highest Mark in Decades


Cadillac sold 37,310 vehicles globally in December, bringing its total for 2016 to 308,692 – the most since 1986. The year-end total marked an increase of 11.1 percent from the previous year.

GM to Start Autonomous Vehicle Testing and Manufacturing in Michigan
