GM China and SAIC General Motors
John Stadwick was appointed vice president of Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing for GM China and SAIC General Motors, effective November 1, 2013.
Stadwick had held the position of president and managing director of GM Middle East Operations since March 2010.
He earlier served as vice president, Aftersales, for GM International Operations since September 2009, interim GM Asia Pacific vice president of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales since July 2009, and executive director of Aftersales for GM Asia Pacific from June 2008.
Before that, Stadwick was regional director of Aftersales for GM Latin America, Africa and the Middle East (LAAM) from July 2006 to May 2008. He had been director of GM Service and Parts Operations for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean since January 2004. In that assignment, he was responsible for sales and warehouse operations for the GM Parts and ACDelco brands.
From 1999 to 2004, Stadwick was located in Thousand Oaks, California, and was responsible for the aftersales operations of GM’s Western Region of the United States, holding both regional service and regional parts manager positions. Subsequent to joining the Western Region, Stadwick was director of Service at GM’s Dealer Business Center in Detroit, Michigan.
Stadwick began his career with GM in 1984 as a district manager in training with GM’s Oldsmobile Division in Lansing, Michigan. He later held various sales, marketing and service positions in the U.S. states of Michigan, South Carolina and New York.
Stadwick was born in Riverside, California. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and economics from Saginaw Valley State College.
