Diane Jurgens was appointed Managing Director of Shanghai OnStar Telematics Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred as Shanghai OnStar) on January 1, 2012, where she oversees business operations and strategic planning in China. Shanghai OnStar is a joint venture officially established by General Motors Company and the SAIC Group.
Previously, Diane Jurgens served as VP & CIO of International Operations of General Motors. Since joining General Motors in 1998, Jurgens held roles including Director of Global Product Development Information Systems & Services, CIO of the GM China Group, and CIO of Asia Pacific. Prior to joining GM, she worked at the Boeing Company.
Jurgens has a strong technology background and rich international operations experience, including eight years working and living in China.
Jurgens graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical engineering. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree with a focus in international business from Seattle University.
In September 2013, Jurgens received the Magnolia Award from the Shanghai Municipal Government for her contributions to the economic and social development of Shanghai.
