All-new S6 six-speed automatic/manual transmission with improved emissions that meets the Euro V standard
The 2013 Excelle GT and XT are equipped with Buick’s all-new S6 six-speed automatic/manual transmission, which was first introduced in the 2012 Buick LaCrosse and Regal in February 2012. This is the same transmission used in Buick models sold in North America, where it has been warmly welcomed. The new transmission is even more compact, lightweight, efficient, stable and reliable than its predecessor. In addition, its design has been further optimized with improvements in the control system, hydraulic system, clutch system, oil flow, fuel pump and torque converter. This ensures more accurate control and operating efficiency. Shifting response has been enhanced as well for greater driving pleasure. Thanks to their recalibration, the 1.6L and 1.8L ECOTEC DVVT engine and 1.6T TC engine meet the Euro V emission standard without sacrificing power or performance.
Upgraded level of comfort that offers great value for money
Nine 2013 Excelle GT and XT variants come with a heated rearview mirror to ensure a clear view of the road even in harsh conditions such as heavy rain, snow and fog. The 2013 Excelle GT 1.6L, 1.8L AT Fashion and 1.6T Fashion Sport are equipped with a six-way electric driver’s seat, while cruise control is standard in the 1.8L AT Fashion and 1.6T Fashion Sport for enhanced driving pleasure and comfort. In addition, menus on the dashboard’s vehicle information display have been enhanced to show oil life, upshift in the MT and turbo boost in 1.6T variants, and dedicated eco information in the 1.6T New Sport to enable users to see their fuel consumption trend and improve their driving.
