DETROIT – Cadillac is partnering with Architectural Digest to present the “Driven by Design” tour, featuring the next-generation 2015 Escalade.
The tour begins this month in Chicago, followed by stops in New York, Dallas, Miami, and Los Angeles throughout the second half of 2014.
“We have long admired Cadillac's commitment to design and are thrilled to help the company underscore that commitment through the ‘Driven by Design’ tour,” said Architectural Digest Vice President and Publisher Giulio Capua. "This will also give passionate design enthusiasts and key luminaries in our field the chance to see the best of Cadillac.”
Invited tour guests will meet at a point of architectural significance, then will have the chance to drive a 2015 Cadillac Escalade SUV to notable architectural landmarks, including private residences, in each city. At each location, a designer or architect will lead guests on a tour that highlights the space’s innovative design and modern technology.
Featured tour locations include the WMS Boathouse in Chicago, and One World Trade Center and Neue House in New York. Keynote speakers include Joseph Valerio, of Valerio Dewalt Train Associates; Michael Arad, designer of the National September 11 Memorial and a partner at Handel Architects; and David Childs and T. J. Gottesdiener, architects of One World Trade Center and 7 World Trade Center and partners at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill.
“The ‘Driven by Design,’ tour brings together a passion for modern design and advanced technology that is shared by both Architectural Digest and Cadillac,” said Melody Lee, Global Cadillac director of Brand and Reputation Strategy. “We look forward to showing guests these architectural landmarks while they experience the 2015 Escalade.”
The 2015 Cadillac Escalade design is entirely new yet instantly recognizable. Much of its redesign focuses on the interior, where new levels of hand-crafted luxury combine with the latest technologies.
The all-new Escalade, built in Arlington, Texas, is on sale now.
