Greg Tyus joined GM Holden as Executive Director, Engineering, in November 2007. He moved to GM Holden from GM Canada where he was General Director, Engineering & Product Planning.
Greg began his career with General Motors in 1979 as a cooperative student. He gained engineering experience in GM North America with a variety of assignments including Senior Project Engineer, Design Engineer and Assistant Staff Engineer until his appointment as Engineering Director, Closure Systems, in 2000.
From 2001 to 2003, he held engineering director positions in Body CAE as well as in Engineering Architecture & Specialty Vehicles. In 2004, he was appointed as Director, Chassis/Powertrain, HVAC, Electrical and Vehicle Assembly Engineering with GM Canada.
He held this position until 2005, when he was appointed to General Director, Engineering & Product Planning for the GM Canada Engineering Center.
Greg holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University (formerly known as GMI) and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University.
