Emily Perry began her career at GM Holden in 2004 as Corporate Communications Manager in Corporate Affairs, where she established strong working relationships with local automotive media working on internal communications in Victoria and South Australia, corporate issues and product programs.
Emily took on the role of Communications Manager with Saab Australia and then lead communications for the newly created GM Premium Brands group within Holden, with responsibility for media relations, sponsorships and events for Saab, the launch of Hummer and the planned launch of the Cadillac brand in Australia and New Zealand.
In 2008 Emily took up an international assignment with GM as Communications Director for General Motors Powertrain Europe based in Turin, Italy. In this role she lead a communications team with engineering and manufacturing operations in Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Sweden before returning to Australia to take up her present role as Holden Director of External Communications.
Prior to joining Holden, Emily worked in media relations for Telstra, Melbourne University and within the Federal Government after starting her career as a producer with ABC radio programs in Adelaide.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Journalism and a Post Graduate Diploma of Management from Melbourne Business School.
