The Chevrolet Cruze earned the top rating of five stars from the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) in Europe, Australia, US and Korea. It features a full range of standard active and passive safety features, including: Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-lock Brakes, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and six air bags.
For 2014 models, the Cruze incorporates a safety feature called Side Blind Zone Alert, which detects other vehicles in the blind zone areas and indicates their presence with LED-lit symbols in the outside mirrors, using radar sensors on both sides of the vehicle.
