Driving Innovation Camp

GM Daewoo hosted the inaugural GM Daewoo Driving Innovation Camp in 2006. Nine individual one and two-night sessions were held between September and November.

The first activity of its kind among Korean automakers was targeted at university students, who represent the company's future customers and will become influencers of public opinion.

The camp included a tour of GM Daewoo's Gunsan manufacturing facility, a ride & drive featuring a full array of GM Daewoo vehicles, an SWE (Simulated Working Environment) experience, lectures by industry experts, a GM Daewoo recruiting event, and meetings with GM Daewoo employees who graduated from the same universities as participants. The Driving Innovation Camp enabled participants to obtain a better understanding of GM Daewoo and its products.

GM Daewoo plans to make the GM Daewoo Driving Innovation Camp an annual activity as part of its outreach to students. Future camps will be tailored to reflect the needs of participants.

GM Daewoo also plans to build a GM Daewoo Driving Innovation Camp Online Community, which will serve as a more effective channel for communicating with students. Driving Innovation Camp
