

Sergio Rocha was appointed vice president, planning, for GM Daewoo Auto & Technology in October 2006.
Rocha began his career in the Design Department of GM do Brasil in 1979 and worked in various roles such as vehicle design, engineering and supervising assembly operations.
In 1993, he led the general coordination of new vehicle development at TDC-Europe. In 1995, he became new vehicle project manager at GM do Brasil and a year later became product engineering manager at GM Argentina.
Rocha assumed responsibility for vehicle development for GM’s Latin America, Africa and Middle East (LAAM) region as a vehicle line executive for all platforms at GM do Brasil in 2004. In September of that same year, he was appointed general director of product planning and program management at GM do Brasil.
Rocha received a degree in mechanical engineering from Braz Cubas University in 1981 and a degree in industrial engineering in 1985.
