Rick LaBelle

Vice President, Commercial Operations
GM Daewoo

Rick LaBelle was appointed Vice President, GM Daewoo Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, August 1, 2005. In this role he is responsible for leading GM Daewoo's Commercial Operations in the Korean Market, as well as its export activities to more than 140 countries.

LaBelle began his General Motors career with Service Parts Operations in 1979 as an ACDelco field sales representative in Davenport, Iowa. He held a variety of field positions until 1986, when he was promoted to field sales marketing executive for ACDelco National Accounts in Detroit. In 1989, he moved to Dallas when he was promoted to GM Parts assistant zone manager before returning to Michigan in 1991 as dealer merchandising manager. One year later, LaBelle was promoted to zone manager for GM Parts in Detroit where he stayed until 1993. At that time, he transferred to Chicago as regional sales manager for the ACDelco Midwest Region.

In 1999, LaBelle was appointed to market area manager, based in Los Angeles, with GM's Vehicle Sales, Service and Marketing in the Western Region. In that same region, he was appointed regional service manager, in November 2000, a position LaBelle held until he transferred to GM Service and Parts Operations in Grand Blanc, Michigan as General Sales Manager, GM Parts, in 2002. In April, 2005, LaBelle assumed responsibility for ACDelco and GM Accessories in addition to his GM Parts responsibilities.

A native of St. Louis, LaBelle graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1979 with a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing. In 1995, he completed Penn State University's Executive Management Program.
