

Young-Kook Lee, who stepped down as president of production at GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology on January 1, 2008, is contributing to the automaker as a senior executive consultant.
Lee had served in his previous position since November 2005. He had earlier held the post of chief vice president since January 2003.
Lee joined DAEWOO Motor Co. in 1973, holding positions in various departments such as parts development, quality ratings and production technology. He was president from October 2000 to December 2002.
Born in Seoul in 1947, Lee graduated from Kyungbok High School and the Department of Material Science and Engineering of Hanyang University.
