

Ronald (Ron) D. Yuille was appointed vice president of powertrain at GM Daewoo Auto & Technology, effective February 1, 2008. He concurrently serves as executive director of GM Powertrain Asia Pacific Engineering, and president and CEO of GM Isuzu Diesel Engineering Ltd. (GMIDEL).
Yuille joined GM’s Buick Motor Division in 1977. He has held numerous leadership positions in the United States and Asia Pacific. In 2003, he was appointed president and CEO of GMIDEL, overseeing the cross-functional and cross-organizational execution of several key diesel engine programs. In 2006, Yuille was appointed executive director of GM Powertrain Asia Pacific Engineering. Since then, he has been based at GM Daewoo in Bupyeong, Korea.
Yuille has participated in developing powertrain strategies and action plans to support GM’s growth in Asia Pacific while leading the regional and global integration of powertrain engineering activities occurring at the various GM, GM joint venture and GM alliance organizations in the region.
In November 2007, Yuille once again assumed the duties of GMIDEL president and CEO. He has represented Asia Pacific as a member of GM’s Global Powertrain Engineering Management Leadership Council (GPEM-LC).
Yuille has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan.
