In October 2002, the world's largest automaker "General Motors Corporation" and Korea's Daewoo Motor Company joined hands to launch a new company called GM Daewoo Auto & Technology.

GM Daewoo has become one of the world's fastest-growing automotive companies. It also has become a major contributor to the Korean economy by increasing its global sales 400 percent, making new investments worth KRW 3 trillion and hiring or rehiring 4,500 employees since its founding.

GM Daewoo produces 1.5 million vehicles annually at its Bupyung, Gunsan and Changwon plants in Korea as well as at its VIDAMCO plant in Vietnam. Ninety percent of its production volume is exported to 150 countries.

The Tosca, with its inline six-cylinder engine and five-speed automatic transmission, and the Winstorm SUV, whose innovative design and performance have caught the eyes of car enthusiasts around the world, complement the Lacetti, Gentra, Rezzo, Kalos and Matiz mini-car. With a full lineup of vehicles that offer class-leading value for money, GM Daewoo continuously delivers innovative products to consumers around the world.

Along with the Charm Service and GM Daewoo Difference, which offer a wide range of innovative services to its customers, GM Daewoo has introduced innovative marketing programs such as a 1,000-car test drive and a series of test-drive centers across Korea that invite consumers to experience GM Daewoo products.

Extensive in-house employee training programs and external learning opportunities enable all GM Daewoo employees to nurture their skills and talent. The aim is to help train future automotive industry leaders. In addition, GM Daewoo sponsors various academic programs such as an annual Auto Science Camp for children.
