New Astra - Lots of Space Thanks to Intelligent Packaging
Rüsselsheim. The dimensions of the new Opel Astra are among the largest in its segment - 4.25 meters long, 1.75 meters wide, 1.46 meters high and with a 2.61 meter wheelbase, it is 35 millimeters higher, 44 mm wider and 139 mm longer than the previous model. There is a clearly noticeable increase in shoulder room in the front and rear and, in particular, in the amount of headroom in the rear.   more...

Opel Vectra OPC: Concept Car with High Performance Turbo-Diesel
Rüsselsheim/Essen. This year´s Essen Motor-Show (November 28 to December 7, 2003) will host a spectacular world premiere. The Opel Performance Center (OPC) is presenting an ultra-sporty concept car based on the Vectra GTS. Featuring innovative twin-turbochargers, the 1.9-liter diesel produces 156 kW (212 hp) and peak torque of more than 400 Nm from as low as 1400 rpm.   more...

Opel Meriva is "Family Car of The Year" in Sweden
Rüsselsheim. The Opel Meriva is "Family Car of The Year 2003" in Sweden. The minivan with standard FlexSpace concept received the award from the magazine "Motorföraren", the jury was composed of 11 motoring journalists from Swedish newspapers and car magazines. This is the third time an Opel with a versatile interior concept has won this title, after the Zafira (1999) and the Agila (2000).   more...
