Swedish Royal Couple Arrives in an Opel Zafira Fueled by Natural Gas
Malmö/Rüsselsheim. An Opel Zafira 1.6 CNG fueled by natural gas drove the Swedish royal couple to the official opening of the "Bo01 - City of Tomorrow" project in Malmö, Sweden yesterday. International Records for Opel's "HydroGen1" Fuel Cell Concept Car
Rüsselsheim/Mesa. Amid temperatures reaching 43 degrees Celsius in the Arizona desert, Opel and GM set a series of new records with the "HydroGen1" fuel cell concept car. "HydroGen1" set a total of 15 international records during four weeks of endurance testing at the GM Desert Proving Ground near Mesa, on the outskirts of Phoenix.   more...

High-tech Tanks for Liquefied and Low-temperature Transport
There are various ways to store hydrogen for use in motor vehicles, and they are all at different stages of development. The most promising methods include storing the hy-drogen in liquefied, frozen form, transporting it under high pressure as a gas and stor-ing the hydrogen atoms in metal hydrides. Researchers are also looking into ways of storing hydrogen in carbon nano-structures.   more...
