Opel PR Management Board Member Horst Borghs Is Leaving the Company

Rüsselsheim. Horst P. Borghs, 53, Executive Director of Public Affairs, Government and Industry Relations, and a member of the Management Board of Adam Opel AG since 1989, has asked the company's Supervisory Boad to release him for personal reasons from his Management Board responsibilities, effective May 31, 2000. The Supervisory Board acceded to this request in its meeting today. The Board expressed its regret for Borghs' decision, and also stated its gratitude and recognition for the achievements and work Borghs did on behalf of the company over the past seventeen years. Horst P. Borghs led the Public Affairs and Government and Industry Relations area since 1986.
