60th Frankfurt International Motor Show

World Premiere for Opel Insignia Concept Car

Rüsselsheim/Frankfurt. The Opel Insignia concept car celebrated its world premiere yesterday, on the eve of the 60th Frankfurt International Motor Show. The innovative design study was unveiled in Frankfurt by Carl-Peter Forster, Chairman and Managing Director of Adam Opel AG, and Martin Smith, Executive Director of Design, accompanied by GM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Rick Wagoner, and Vice Chairman, Robert A. Lutz.

The Insignia is an ambassador of Opel's new confidence. This automotive vision of the future shows how Opel's new design language translates to a large sized car for the very first time. In addition to its progressive, elegant and dynamic design, the Insignia features numerous innovations including the extensive use of LED-lighting and unique pantograph-action doors.

Together with the world premieres of the new Astra and the Vectra station wagon, the Insignia is the third major attraction on the Opel stand (D 09, hall 8) at the Frankfurt International Motor Show.
