Opel "HARIBO" Agila – The Golden Bear drives the fuzzy Agila

Rüsselsheim. A perfect fit for each other – the nimble, fresh Opel Agila and the familiar and friendly HARIBO Golden gummy bear are teaming up to produce a limited edition "HARIBO" variation of the Agila micro van. Going on sale in April 2003 in Germany and Switzerland, the car features a complete set of fun gummy bear themed accessories, including a bear key hanger, and an umbrella featuring bunches of the multi-colored bears. Sure to please the kids while in the car, the "HARIBO" Agila comes complete with a fuzzy 30cm tall stuffed gummy bear. Opel is releasing the Agila "HARIBO" edition in the familiar pineapple yellow color of the world-renowned HARIBO gummy bears. The interior upholstery done in a bold "panorama" blue nicely contrasts the golden exterior. The middle console and the inlay of the leather gearshift are done in a transparent blue tone. The Blue floor mats are decorated with colorful gummy bears and the front seats carry also HARIBO's signature styling. The interior door handles are done in matte chrome and carry an exclusive HARIBO marking.

The "HARIBO" Agila comes equipped with an economical 1.2 liter ECOTEC gasoline engine, which provides 55kW (75 HP), and which already meets the strict Euro 4 exhaust emissions standards. This combination provides an environmentally friendly yet exciting drive. Besides its lively design, the "HARIBO" Agila comes equipped with a full set of standard options including air conditioning, power windows, a CDR 2005 stereo/CD/radio, a remote controlled electronic lock system, powerful fog lamps and 14-inch alloy wheels. Like the normal Agila, the "HARIBO" edition comes equipped with an array of comfort and safety features. Front and side airbags, three point seat belts for all five passengers, an ABS braking system and power steering ensure a safe ride for the whole family. The Opel Agila "HARIBO" will be produced as a limited edition and has a recommended retail price of 13,495 Euro (recommended retail price in Germany including VAT).
