September 16, 2008, marks the 100th year of operations for General Motors. As we reflect on the past and focus on our vision for the next 100 years, we have marked our centennial anniversary by launching a global dialogue through an initiative called GMnext.
The press kit features the top production vehicles, concept vehicles, innovations, people, places and events from the past 100 years that have helped shape our company. Most of all, we invite you to use this Press Kit as a starting point for your own conversations about GM. If you have a specific story you would like to write, please contact us.
We will also host a global broadcast at 8:30 a.m. (EDT) Tuesday, September 16, at the GM global headquarters in the Detroit Renaissance Center. The broadcast will be streamed live on www.gmnext.com. Following the broadcast we have several virtual events throughout the day including Web chats with executives and GM employees and a Future of Transportation Roundtable that will also be streamed live.
