Christopher William Parfitt

Managing Director, Vauxhall Motors Limited

Christopher William (Bill) Parfitt has been Managing Director of Vauxhall Motors since May 2005. In this capacity, Bill Parfitt is responsible for Vauxhall's day-to-day business operations for sales and marketing and all administrative areas. In addition, he is in charge of GM's sales and marketing activities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, encompassing the Saab, Vauxhall and Chevrolet brands. He is also the executive in charge of GM's fleet and commercial vehicle sales across all European markets.

Bill Parfitt was born in Wales, U.K., on June 17, 1947. He was educated in Newport and Cardiff.

Bill Parfitt first joined Vauxhall in Luton, U.K., in January 1998, as Fleet Operations Director. In December 2000, he was promoted to General Sales Director. In June 2001, he was appointed Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, and elected to the board of Vauxhall Motors. Reflecting the increased integration of all GM's brands in the region, Parfitt took responsibility for Saab GB and Ireland in 2003, Opel Ireland in 2004 and for Chevrolet UK and Ireland in 2005. In 2005, Bill Parfitt also assumed responsibility for GM Europe's Fleet Operations.
