Alejandro Martinez

GM Europe Chief Information Officer

Alejandro Martinez assumed the position of Chief Information Officer of General Motors Europe on July 1, 2006. In this function, he is responsible for the design, implementation and management of technology solutions to support GM's operations in Europe. He is a member of the Europe Strategy Board and based at the General Motors Information Systems and Services (IS&S) headquarters in Maidenhead, U.K..

Alejandro Martinez earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Universidad La Salle in Mexico City.

Alejandro’s prior assignment was Chief Information Officer for General Motors Latin America, Africa and the Middle East (LAAM). He joined GM in August 1999 as Chief Information Officer for GM de México. Prior to that, he worked for Paccar México and Méxicana de Autobuses, where he was Director of Information Technology, Strategic Planning.
