Enrico Digirolamo
GM Europe Vice President and CFO
Enrico Digirolamo has been GM Europe Vice President and CFO since October 1, 2008. In his CFO role, Enrico reports to Ray Young, and in his GM Europe Vice President role to Carl-Peter Forster. He also serves as a member of the Europe Strategy Board.
Enrico Digirolamo was born in Detroit, Michigan, USA in 1954. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University, an MBA from Eastern Michigan University and has completed the International Executive Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Enrico Digirolamo began his GM career in 1979 and held a variety of analytical and management positions on the Hydra-matic Financial Staff, the Corporate Financial Staff, and the Treasurer's Office. In 1989, he was appointed Director of Finance for Convesco, a GM/Isuzu joint venture in Rüsselsheim, Germany, and in 1990 he was appointed Comptroller for GM España, GM's subsidiary in Zaragoza, Spain. Rico returned to the USA in 1993 and assumed responsibilities as Director of Finance for Dealer Network Investment and Development, one of the new start-up units as GM consolidated its operations.
From 1994 through 1997, he was Executive Director of Finance and Systems for Worldwide Purchasing, GM's global unit responsible for the acquisition of all products, services and capital equipment. In 1997, he became General Manager of Motors Holding Division, the GM unit that operates 300 dealerships across North America and the U.K. From 2000 to 2001, he was the acting Chief Executive for Covisint leading a five person executive team for this B2B electronic marketplace formed by General Motors, Ford and DaimlerChrysler. In 2001, he was named Chief Financial Officer for General Motors do Brasil until 2005 when he became Chief Financial Officer for GM's Global Powertrain Operations. Most recently, Enrico Digirolamo was Chief Financial Officer of North American Vehicle Sales, Service & Marketing since 2006.
