Vice President, GM Powertrain Europe


Mike Arcamone has been Vice President, GM Powertrain Europe, since July 1, 2007. In this function, he has global development responsibilities for Small Diesel Engines, Diesel Controls, Small Gasoline Engines and Manual Transmissions and operating responsibility for ten manufacturing plants and five engineering locations. He is based at the GM Powertrain Europe headquarters in Turin, Italy.

Mike Arcamone was born in Montreal, Canada, on July 3, 1958, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Business Administration from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, and a Diploma in Business Management from Mc Gill University in Montreal, Canada.

He joined General Motors Canada in 1980. After having held several positions within GM Manufacturing, he became Plant Manager of the St. Therese plant in Canada before he moved to Powertrain as Plant Manager in Livonia, Michigan, and Flint, Michigan in the U.S. In 2005, he was appointed Executive Director, Supplier Quality and Development, within Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. In this position, he played a key role in successfully transforming the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Group into a truly global organization.
