Cadillac Celebrates One European and Two German Premieres

US luxury marque continues its product offensive

Frankfurt. Cadillac, the luxury marque of the world's biggest carmaker, General Motors, will be exhibiting its model range of today, tomorrow and (possibly) the more distant future in hall 8 of Frankfurt's IAA Motor Show. Joining the current versions of the CTS and Seville STS will be the SRX leisure vehicle, the sporty XLR two-seater and the sensational "Sixteen" study, all of them underlining the design orientation and superior technological standards set by the luxury carmaker.

The Cadillac SRX, set to make its first appearance ever in Europe will go on sale on its domestic American market in just a few weeks. The five-door model will also be arriving in Europe next year and will be available with all-wheel drive. Its appearance at showrooms will be preceded by the Cadillac XLR, a luxurious roadster/coupe with a retractable hardtop. The rear-wheel-drive model, measuring 4.51 meters long, is celebrating its German premiere at the IAA.

Germany will also be getting its first ever glimpse of the Cadillac Sixteen – the strikingly designed luxury sedan study. Highlights of this crowd-puller include the innovative aluminum body with a glass roof, the imposing V16 engine with 1000 hp and cylinder deactivation and the luxurious interior incorporating crystal and walnut wood accents.
