On January 1, 2004, Gerard Jansen joined the Netherlands based company Cadillac & Corvette Europe as Chief Operating Officer. Jansen is responsible for the overall day to day business within the in 2003 established organization. Prior to his transition to Cadillac & Corvette Europe, Gerard Jansen gained 16 years experience in the international automotive industry. He started to work for Ford Motor Company in 1988 in the Netherlands in several positions. In 1992 he was transferred to Hungary as sales manager to set up Ford Operations in Hungary. After two years he was promoted to Ford’s European Headquarters in Cologne, Germany, in an international marketing support position. In 1996 Jansen returned to the Netherlands as Marketing Manager Ford Netherlands for three years. In January 2002 he was appointed as Director Operations Ford Netherlands. In 2003 he was transferred back to Cologne as Director European Vehicle Pricing. |
