Round 1 - Sebring International Raceway
GM's Cadillac division claimed a dramatic victory in its first outing for the high-performance CTS-V race car at Sebring International Raceway. Factory driver Max Angelelli took the win for Cadillac, while his teammate Andy Pilgrim took a dramatic second-place finish after passing some 30 cars.
Round 2 - Lime Rock Park
Cadillac finished on the podium in the race at Lime Rock Park. Cadillac driver Max Angelelli finished third while teammate Andy Pilgrim finished fifth in the 46-lap race, which ended under yellow caution flags. The result was the second straight podium finish for Cadillac.
Round 3 - Mid-Ohio
Cadillac driver and GM engineer John Heinricy drove to a third-place finish at Mid-Ohio after making a pass on the first lap of the race. Drivers Max Angelelli and Andy Pilgrim charged hard to climb through the pack, finishing sixth and seventh, respectively. It was the third straight podium finish for Cadillac.
Round 4 - Infineon Raceway
Andy Pilgrim, driving the No. 8 Cadillac CTS-V race car, climbed through the pack to finish fourth at Sonoma's Infineon Raceway, moving Cadillac to within one point of the lead in the Speed GT Manufacturers Championship. It was Cadillac's fourth top-four finish in 2004.
Round 5 - Portland
Andy Pilgrim displayed another brilliant driving performance in the No. 8 Cadillac CTS-V race car, climbing back from the rear of the field to finish fourth. Cadillac recorded a fifth straight top-four finish in five races in 2004.
Round 6 - Mosport
Starting from the pole position, Max Angelelli held third position and looked set to finish on the podium before ultimately finishing fourth after a late race incident where a slower, lapped car held him up. The result was yet another top-four finish in Cadillac's quest for the 2004 manufacturers championship.
Round 7 - Mosport
Cadillac and hometown hero Ron Fellows took a decisive victory at Mosport International Raceway in Round 7 of the SPEED GT Championship. Fellows, in the No. 12 CTS-V, put Cadillac within two points of the manufacturers championship with three rounds remaining. Starting from the pole position, Fellows got off to a great start and held the top position for the entire race. The local legend held off two Corvettes and crossed the finish line first; Andy Pilgrim finished fourth in the No. 8 Cadillac and Max Angelelli captured fifth in his No. 16 car.
Round 8 - Road America
Team Cadillac had its most disappointing outing of the season at Elkhart Lake and fell nine points behind in the chase for the manufacturers trophy. Max Angelelli was the top CTS-V finisher in fifth place.
Round 9 - Road Atlanta
With a remarkable victory at Road Atlanta, the Cadillac CTS-V racing team tied Audi for the lead in the manufacturers championship for the SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT. Max Angelelli won the race after starting from pole position. Andy Pilgrim and Johnny O'Connell finished sixth and ninth, respectively.
Round 10 - Laguna Seca
The Cadillac CTS-V racing team closed a highly successful debut season in the SCCA SPEED World Challenge GT Championship but fell just short of winning the championship. Max Angelelli was the top Cadillac finisher in the SPEED GT race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, crossing the line in seventh place. After three victories and four podium finishes, the black Cadillacs fell three points short of Audi for the manufacturers title.
