GM Chairman Ed Whitacre gave his first public speech since joining the company's board  in April.  Whitacre spoke about the global auto industry and the economy during a lecture at Texas Lutheran Univeristy on Tuesday, Nov. 10. Whitacre taught at the university after retiring from AT&T in 2007.
