These full-size sport-utility vehicles are targeted at and have appeal to

NEW FOR 1997:
* Addition of front passenger side air bag restraint(standard)
* Speed-sensitive steering added to reduce low-speed steering effort
* Increased trailer-hitch rating - increased to 2268 kg (5000 lb.) with a
227-kg (500-lb.) tongue weight
* Rear door locks provide lock/unlock switch located on the right hand rear
pillar to allow all doors to be locked or unlocked from the rear
while
the rear doors are open
* Improved turning radius, providing smaller turn radius, on 4x4 models
* Front high back reclining bucket seat now includes a removable cupholder
stowed in the floor console (interchangeable with the tape/disc
holder)
* Quiet engine cooling fan to reduce fan noise in the engaged mode
* Enhancements to electronically controlled automatic transmission for
improved operation
* Two new exterior colours (Medium Opal Blue Metallic and Medium Beige
